Title Transfers; Temporary Tags for All Vehicles If you are transferring a vehicle title we can give you your registration and decal immediately, no temporaries, on car and truck transfers. On other vehicles, such as Motorcycle, Trailer, Bus, Omni-Bus, and Moped, we will give you a temporary tag, a temporary registration, and a decal to place in the rear window of the vehicle or carry with you if it is not possible to place the decal in the rear window. To complete a title transfer, you must have the following documents; Seller(s):

Apportion Registration Specialists; New Accounts or Existing Accounts Whether starting an existing apportion registration account, adding a vehicle to an existing account, or need duplicate credentials, we are your ARP headquarters! We will need the following information to start the procedures;
Apportion registration of vehicles gets complicated, so please call to make an appointment before coming to the office, if possible.
Name Correction; Marriage or Divorce If you wish to change your name on your registration or title due to marriage or divorce, you will need the following; Note: You have the option of correcting the title and registration or just your registration card.
Change of Address on Registration To correct an address on a registration you will need your current registration card(s). This is a free transaction and a service we are happy to perform for you!
Out of State Moving to Pennsylvania Procedures All new residents are required to make application for Pennsylvania title and registration of their vehicle(s) within 20 days of entry into the Commonwealth when establishing residency in Pennsylvania. In order to register your vehicle(s), you will need to bring the following items with you:
Sales Tax on Out of State VehiclesIf you hold a valid title issued in another state and, if you owned the
vehicle at least 6 months before moving to Pennsylvania, you will not be
required to pay any sales tax when you register your vehicle in Pennsylvania.
In order to apply for a Special Fund License Plate we will need your registration card to the vehicle you wish to place the special tag on. Currently there are the following tags available: These tags cost $35 each with a $10 service charge.
Personal Tags are issued by the state on a first come, first serve basis. The cost of the personal tag is $20 with a $10 service fee. Please call our office before coming in so we can check the availability of your personal choice of plate before we complete the application. You are allowed 7 digits or letters with one space or one hyphen (not both) on the personal tag. Advice to you? Use your imagination! What you will need; The registration card to the vehicle you wish to place the personal tag on and a valid insurance card. Click Here for a link to a helpful site that may help you make a decision.
Duplicate titles are issued by PENNDOT and usually take from 2-3 weeks. We can sometimes speed this service up for you for an additional fee. What you will need is the registration card to the vehicle you wish to apply for the duplicate title for. If that card is not available, then please bring us the VIN# of the vehicle. If you have ever, at any time, had a loan using this vehicle as collateral or borrowed money to purchase this vehicle, you will need a letter of release from the bank or finance company stating your lien has been satisfied.
Duplicate Registrations, Plates, Decals and Weight Class Decal
Handicap Registration Plates and Placards In order to receive a HP plate or decal the form must be signed by a physician noting the limit of time of the disability and the severity. After you have the form complete bring it to our office and we will get you the Placard or Plate back from PENNDOT. Click Here for more information in Adobe PDF format.
Antiques, Classics and Collectible Vehicles In order to apply for an Antique or Classic registration we will need to have the title to the vehicle, proof of insurance, and four color photo's of the vehicle; both sides, front and rear.
